Kannada New Upcoming Film Hudugru - New Upcoming Film Review

Director K Madesha's latest Kannada film Hudugru had created lot of curiosity among the movie buffs before its release. But the movie, which has released yesterday (May 05), does not disappoint them. It successfully holds the attention of the viewers with its sound technical elements, interesting script and gripping narration. It is also a good treat for Puneet fans for this weekend.Hudugru is a romantic comedy and Puneet, Kitty, Yogish and Radhika's energetic performances are the major highlights of the film. V Harikrishna's music, Sathya Hegde's cinematography, Raghu-Sadhu's comedy are other highlights of the movie. Three youths, who have their own goals to achieve, sacrifice their life to unite two stupid lovers, which looks utterly silly disappointing.Hudugru is a remake of hit Tamil movie Naadodigal and director K Madesha has remained very honest to the original. The plot focuses on three friends, who attempt to unite the lovers at the cost of their own love life and goals. Although the story of the film needs a dragging narration, the director has used commercial elements like comedy and good music, which do not allow the viewers to loose their interests. Madesha runs the first half with a gripping narration. In the second half, the narration drags a bit, but the interesting story makes sure that they do not leave their seats.Prabhu (Puneeth Rajakumar), Chandru (Srinagar Kitty) and Siddesh (Yogish) are three friends, who are yearning to achieve their goals and marry their lovers. Meanwhile, Prabhu's friend Sudhir (Vishal Hegde) approaches him seeking help to reunite him with his lover Sushma (Ramya Barna). The three youths, who consider friendship above all relationships, come forward to help Sudhir. But Sudhir's mother (Vanitha Vasu) and Sushma's father (Avinash) are influential politicians, who land them in trouble. How they unite Sushma and Sudhir will form the climax of the movie.Although Puneet Rajkumar has large scope in the movie, this is not an usual role for him. The movie throws him totally to a different challenge and he has lived up to it. He impresses the viewers in dialogue delivery and emotion and romantic sequences. Radhika Pandit, Srinagar Kitty and Yogish have also delivered excellent performances. Sadhu Kokila and Rangayana Raghu's comedy timing is quite enjoyable. Abhinaya, Krishna Adiga, Avinash, Vanitha Vasu, Sudha Belawadi and Srinivasaprabhu have also done justice to their respective roles.Besides wonderful performances by lead actors, the rich production values are the other attractions of the film. V Harikrishna has comd wonderful music for four songs and he has lifted the tunes of one song from original. Peppy song 'Naa Boardu Irada Bassanu...', melody tracks 'En Chandane Hudugi…' and 'Neeralli Sanna…' are really good. As usual, Satya Hegde's camera is dynamic and bright throughout the film. Guruprasad's dialogues are catchy and editing is also good.Overall, Hudugru shows that friendship is above all relationships. But today's youth are completely practical and they may find it difficult to accept the story, which is far from practical and real life. However, the movie has lots of entertainer values and despite being a remake, it sustains the interest of the viewers throughout the movie. Don't miss to watch it this weekend.
