'Namastey London 2': Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif play together again: Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's onscreen magic that ensured packed houses for their films like Namastey London and Singh Is Kingg seems to have fizzled out with flops like De Dana Dan and Tees Maar Khan.Perhaps to revive this magic, Akshay has been prodding producer-director Vipul Amrutlal Shah to make the film's sequel. Now, Shah, who's never been gung-ho about making sequels of his hit films, has finally succumbed to Akshay's demand and decided to go ahead with Namastey London 2.Shah is reportedly in the process of writing the script. The original movie was about a rustic Punjabi lad winning over his rich and pampered London bride (Kat). In the sequel, the character of Akshay and Katrina will go through matrimonial troubles that will be the source of humour and drama in the story.Though Shah and Akshay have virtually green-lit the project, Katrina hasn't yet been informed of their plan for the sequel. It's not because she won't be part of the sequel. But because Shah and Akshay want to surprise her as she herself has been asking Shah to make the film's sequel.Shah is currently busy with his production Force, starring John Abraham. After he's done with this film, he will set out to direct Namastey London 2. Till that time, he will work on the script.
